We are looking for a senior management consultant

The candidate must:

• Have extensive experience in key roles in the energy industry or related fields, acquired deep subject matter expertise in several domains and have some managerial or project management experience
• Have extensive experience as a business consultant in the energy industry or related fields, ideally in large business transformation and core strategic projects
• Be fluent in English, and ideally have some knowledge in German or French
• Be willing to travel frequently within Europe – although remote work is feasible and has become a standard part of our way of working

The ideal candidate will have experience in one of the following:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills - ideally practised in various group sizes and for diverse topics
• A delivery focus - experience as a program or project manager and responsibility for the delivery of those, and lead of consultancy teams
• A track record in the sales of business consultancy projects
• Building and maintaining client relationships in the energy industry and success in business development in a consultancy
• Deep understanding of some aspects of the energy markets - for example market modelling, wholesale markers, regulatory environment or the design of business models in the energy market

Your typical work

We advise clients in their business transformation and provide economic and strategic consulting. A typical day involves some intensive discussions and workshops with clients, working on understanding challenges and questions, their solutions, new complex concepts and ideas, and bringing this into a form that is easy to understand for various stakeholder groups.

Some project examples are:

• An energy trader targets to become one of Europe’s most successful market players and is building up various capabilities in advanced market modelling, data analytics and reporting, sophisticated risk management and underlying up-to-date technologies and IT infrastructure –  we provide first class project management and business analysis support
• The organisation has difficulties in implementing complex core processes that crossline-function and requires functional enhancement of various key systems – we support the process and system design, coordinate the implementation end to end and report to the board
• A smaller utility does not have extensive trading experience but wants to market their generation assets effectively – we define a hedging strategy and evaluate trading services with them

You will be working at the forefront of the European energy sector alongside market specialists with deep industry knowledge.
